Hello and Welcome

Dear Parents, Carers & Students, We are delighted to send you the second edition of The Albion Academy newsletter, with the highlights of an incredibly busy half term with so much wonderful learning and enrichment undertaken by our students.

I am incredibly pleased to inform you that the school will be having a new 3G pitch installed over the next few months. Our outdoor teaching surface for PE has been in need of upgrading for some time and this will be a wonderful addition to the school, both for teaching and our enrichment offer. We are also in the middle of a mass redecoration of all school corridors and classes to make the school a much brighter and vibrant place for children to be, we will share some pictures with you in the next newsletter of our progress here!

Students also showed creativity and teamwork in our Dragons Den Leap project and were thoroughly engaged for their future lives during National Careers Week. Ambition is at the heart of a successful education, we were so pleased to see the pupils being so ambitious for themselves.

One thing I would really like to draw your attention to, especially if you have younger children ready to join the school in the next few years, is the launch of our Leap Up: Transition programme. We are determined to ensure that the journey for children and families from our feeder primaries to our Year 7 is a seamless and enjoyable experience working with you through the Leap Up programme should make this a reality in years to come.

Have a restful Spring holiday, we will see you all again on Tuesday 18th April.
