Drama

The Drama curriculum at The Albion Academy is designed to inspire. 

Drama aims to equip students to think innovatively and develop empathy, teamwork skills and confidence. Each term will use a specific theatre style, script, or historic event to practise vocal and physical technique pertinent to progressing in Drama. 

The curriculum is inclusive and aims to represent our diverse school culture; it is designed to engage, inspire, and challenge students, allowing them to experiment and create their own performances, scripts and theatrical design - enabling all students to achieve regardless of ability. 

Performing Arts Club - The Musical Theatre Performing Arts Club is a vibrant co-curricular programme that allows students to extend the curriculum beyond lessons by creating, rehearsing and performing work for an audience. Students develop singing, movement, acting and stagecraft, while also learning the discipline of rehearsal, ensemble responsibility and audience awareness.

The club supports the wider curriculum vision by giving students a real performance context in which they can use theatre to communicate stories, emotions and ideas with clarity and confidence.
