Starting in September 2026? - Year 6 Transition

Year 6 is an exciting time for many primary school children, but it can also be a daunting time as they start to think about transitioning into Year 7.  We have a programme of support and events that you and your child can engage with to support this process.

Our Transition Lead

We have a dedicated Transition and Community Lead, Ms Salisbury, who will support you and your child every step of the way. Ms Salisbury has worked in schools for several years and fully understands the challenges that students can face in times of change.  She is passionate about helping students and dedicated to supporting them through the transition from primary to seecondary school.

If you have any questions about joining The Albion Academy or would like to book a tour of the school, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our form Talk with The Albion Academy.

Transition Days - 25th and 26th June 2026

In June, all children who have a place at The Albion Academy will attend our Transition Days.  This is a compulsory event for all students starting September 2026.

At this two-day event your child will be officially inducted into The Albion Academy and take part in an exciting programme of events. These visits are a valuable opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with the Academy and understand the range of support available to them. Students will:

  • Meet their form tutors & Head Of Year
  • Meet key staff from across the school
  • Experience a range of lessons

This two-day induction is an important part of your child’s transition into the academy, and we ask for your support in ensuring your child attends. Students must arrive at 08:45 am. The day will finish at 14:45 pm.
